About the course
This undergraduate Urban Design and Planning specialisation is a set of four units that you take alongside an eligible Curtin degree to broaden and tailor your study. It focuses on how cities and places are planned and designed, linking spatial planning with urban design thinking. Choose it within a relevant bachelor program to build capability for work shaping urban environments at a bachelor level in the built environment discipline. The programme combines engineering fundamentals, design projects, and industry-ready technical problem-solving skills.

This specialisation can support career pathways where understanding both urban design and planning is valued, including work with planning consultancies, property and development teams, and local or state government.
