About the course
This program combines tourism, event management, social science, business and marketing to prepare you for careers across tourism, events and the visitor economy. Co-designed with industry partners, it emphasises applied learning through fieldwork, industry and government engagement, and opportunities for international study trips. You’ll also complete a final-year professional placement to build experience and networks in hospitality and tourism. The programme introduces business strategy, finance, marketing, and leadership foundations for commercial organisations.
Career outcome
Graduates are prepared for professional roles across tourism, events, hospitality and the broader visitor economy. Career pathways can include event and festival management, destination and visitor services, tourism operations, attractions and accommodation management, marketing and place promotion, and roles with government or industry bodies. Practical industry engagement and the final-year placement support a transition into employment in the hospitality and tourism sector. Preparing graduates for business analyst, management trainee, marketing, and operations entry-level roles.
