About the course
The Bachelor of Theology introduces students to contemporary theological scholarship and the Catholic intellectual tradition, exploring religion across history and modern life. You will study areas such as biblical studies, systematic theology, ministry, liturgy, world religions, ancient languages, moral theology and philosophy, with flexibility to take units from other disciplines and potentially complete a major from Arts. Overseas study opportunities include Rome and partner universities. This is a three-year bachelor degree in theology.
Career outcome
Graduates may pursue roles across faith-based and public settings, drawing on skills in ethical reasoning, critical analysis and communication. Career pathways can include chaplaincy in hospitals, schools or prisons; ministry and other church-related roles; youth, community and pastoral work; advocacy; and pathways into research and academia. The degree can also support journalism and writing, and teaching with further study. This is a bachelor qualification in theology. Preparing graduates for graduate employment, professional traineeships, and further postgraduate study.
