Theatre at the VCA is described as immersive, rigorous, and conservatoire-style. It focuses on training actors, creative collaborators, performers, and highly skilled devisors.

What you might learn

Students are expected to build advanced practical and creative performance skills within a specialised theatre environment. The program is designed to deepen their abilities in collaboration, devising, and performance-making while meeting the requirements of an honours-level degree.

Career outcome

Graduates may pursue careers as actors, performers, creative collaborators, and devisors. The training also supports work in theatre-making, performance development, and other creative roles within the performing arts sector.

Entry requirements

Applicants must meet the standard eligibility for the Bachelor of Fine Arts (Degree with Honours) in addition to the specialisation requirements. The Theatre specialisation will not be offering a 2027 intake.
