About the course
The Theatre Arts double degree major combines creative practice with theatre theory to prepare you to work both on and off the stage. You’ll build skills across acting, directing and production, and learn within Western Australia’s longest-established theatre arts program. Taught alongside experienced practitioners, the major offers opportunities to take part in on-campus public productions and regular staged work in Perth as part of an undergraduate performing arts pathway. The programme develops design, animation, visual storytelling, and digital media production for creative industries.
Career outcome
This major can lead to creative and technical roles across live performance and screen. Graduates may work as actors, stage/film/TV directors, playwrights, stage managers, performing arts technicians or as part of production crews. Career opportunities span theatre and screen production companies, festivals and venues, and related screen advertising work. It supports employability through applied experience within an undergraduate performing arts specialisation. Preparing graduates for graphic design, multimedia production, advertising, and creative studio roles.
