About the course

This hands-on degree develops advanced practical and professional skills for creating and producing drama and performance projects that activate and empower communities. You’ll build capability to initiate, lead and facilitate creative performances, events and community arts programs, with a focus on real-world impact and positive social change. The course supports beginners through to emerging and established artists, combining performance theory, professional practice and entrepreneurial skills.

Career outcome

Graduates may work across community arts, theatre and creative industries as drama facilitators, drama educators, producers/directors, or independent performance makers. The course also supports roles in arts administration and project coordination/management for festivals, venues, education providers and community organisations, where skills in planning, producing and leading creative projects are valued. Careers align with bachelor-level practice in drama, performance and creative production.
