About the course
The Sustainable Environment Specialisation is an undergraduate specialisation designed to complement an engineering degree with focused study in sustainability. You’ll explore preserving ecosystems and habitats, measuring and managing carbon emissions, and applying problem-solving to real environmental case studies. The specialisation also introduces Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) principles and sustainable urban planning to support designing practical, sustainable solutions in engineering and environmental contexts.
Career outcome
This specialisation can support careers where engineering decisions intersect with environmental protection and sustainability. Graduates may pursue roles in environmental and sustainability management, carbon and emissions reporting, ESG and compliance support, sustainable urban planning projects, and environmental risk or impact assessment across government and industry. It provides focused capability for applying sustainability principles and tools within a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) pathway and related engineering double-degree study.
