About the course
The Bachelor of Environmental Science (Honours) is an additional year that deepens your expertise in a chosen environmental science discipline while building advanced research and transferable skills. You’ll undertake supervised research and supporting coursework in areas such as ecology, conservation, environmental management and risk assessment, plus scientific communication and ethics. This honours year strengthens employability and can provide a pathway to masters and PhD study in environmental science.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue roles where advanced research and applied environmental skills are valued, including environmental consulting, conservation and wildlife management, sustainability and environmental management, and ecological assessment and monitoring. The honours research experience supports work in government agencies, industry and NGOs, and can also lead into higher degree research.
