About the course
This combined undergraduate and postgraduate pathway prepares you for a career in clinical exercise physiology. You’ll build foundations in sport and exercise science, then develop advanced skills to design and deliver evidence-based exercise interventions for people with chronic and complex medical conditions. The course integrates science, clinical practice and professional preparation across a streamlined 4-year program in Sports Science at UWA. The programme develops advanced clinical reasoning, health leadership, and evidence-based practice for complex care environments.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue roles applying exercise as a clinical intervention across health and performance settings. Career paths may include clinical exercise physiologist (where accreditation requirements are met), exercise rehabilitation or chronic disease programs, hospital and community health services, sport and high-performance support, workplace health, and research or further study.
