About the course
This degree develops scientific knowledge of human movement and sporting performance to improve health and prevent lifestyle disease. You’ll study areas such as functional anatomy, motor control and learning, exercise physiology and biomechanics, with applied content in performance analysis, coaching and rehabilitation. The program includes at least 270 hours of supervised professional practice to build workplace-ready skills for a Bachelor-level career in sport and exercise science.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue roles supporting participation, performance and health across community, clinical and sport settings. Typical opportunities include exercise scientist, physical activity and health promotion officer, sports coach, sports development officer, sports laboratory technician, and strength and conditioning coach. The program is accredited at Exercise Science level by ESSA, supporting professional recognition for Bachelor-level work in sport and exercise science. Preparing graduates for laboratory technician, research assistant, and science-based industry entry roles.
