Space and Planetary Science (Advanced) is a major within Curtin’s Bachelor of Advanced Science (Honours), designed for high-performing students interested in space and planetary sciences. You’ll build strong discipline knowledge alongside project-based learning, leadership and entrepreneurship. Study Solar System evolution, space environments and operations, and space system design, supported by digital technologies, data interpretation, and research and industry engagement within an honours-focused science pathway.

Graduates are prepared for roles across commercial and government space sectors, including space exploration, Earth observation and remote sensing, satellite communications, and global navigation services. Career paths can include planetary and space scientist, geoscience data analyst, remote sensing scientist, navigation systems specialist, or space technology consultant and business developer.
