About the course
This double degree combines accredited social work training with psychology study to build strong skills in understanding human behaviour and creating social change. You’ll learn social theory, advocacy and policy alongside psychological approaches to wellbeing, preparing you to work with individuals, families and communities. The Bachelor of Social Work (Honours)/Bachelor of Social Science (Psychology) is an on-campus undergraduate honours program at RMIT. The programme explores human behaviour, research methods, and applied psychology for community and organisational settings.
Career outcome
Graduates are prepared for roles across community, government and health settings, applying social work practice and psychological insight to support people and systems. Career paths may include social worker, case manager, child protection officer, counsellor/advocate, policy or social policy officer, community development roles and mediation support. This is a combined bachelor honours qualification focused on Sociology & Social Work and psychology practice contexts. Preparing graduates for human resources support, community services, and psychology-related graduate pathways.
