About the course
This double degree combines professional social work training with a broad arts education to build strong analytical, cultural and communication skills. You’ll develop the knowledge and practice capabilities to support individuals and communities, alongside studies in humanities and social sciences. The program includes supervised placements and prepares you for accredited practice. It is a Bachelor Degree / Honours Degree in Sociology & Social Work. The programme explores human behaviour, research methods, and applied psychology for community and organisational settings.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue roles supporting people, families and communities across government, non-government and community organisations. Typical pathways include social worker (subject to accreditation/registration requirements), caseworker, community development officer, youth or family support worker, policy or advocacy roles, and program coordination in health, welfare, justice and community services settings.
