About the course
This course develops skills to support individuals, groups and communities by addressing barriers that affect quality of life. You’ll learn to promote positive relationships and advocate for equality, human rights and social change, including through policy and legislative pathways. The degree also prepares you for the professional demands of practice through an undergraduate Social Work qualification. The programme explores human behaviour, research methods, and applied psychology for community and organisational settings.
Career outcome
Graduates can work across community and human services settings, supporting people through complex social, health and wellbeing challenges. Roles include social worker, community cultural development officer, community liaison officer, support/outreach officer, mental health worker and welfare case worker. Employment settings may include healthcare, aged care, justice services, disability and rehabilitation, and refugee support as a Bachelor-level social work professional. Preparing graduates for human resources support, community services, and psychology-related graduate pathways.

Minimum ATAR 70 (or equivalent).
