About the course
The Bachelor of Social Science (Sociology) explores how societies work and how social change affects communities, institutions and everyday life. You’ll build critical thinking and research skills to analyse inequality, culture and social issues, and learn to develop strategies that respond to complex real-world challenges. The degree supports interdisciplinary study while keeping sociology as your main focus at UOW. The programme explores human behaviour, research methods, and applied psychology for community and organisational settings.

Graduates can pursue roles that draw on social analysis, research and community engagement across government, NGOs and industry.
