About the course
This Bachelor of Science (Pathway to Teaching Primary/Secondary) builds strong science knowledge while preparing you to progress into a Master of Teaching. You’ll choose from a wide range of science majors and gain access to specialist facilities and modern teaching laboratories, developing skills to solve complex problems. It is designed to meet NSW Education Standards Authority learning-area requirements for entry to teacher education in a Bachelor-level science pathway. The programme develops classroom practice, curriculum knowledge, and educational psychology for teaching professions.
Career outcome
Graduates can use their science qualification to pursue roles in laboratories, research and science-related industries, with pathways into areas such as forensics and medical laboratory work. With appropriate suitability and completion of a subsequent Master of Teaching, you may progress toward becoming a primary or secondary science teacher.
