About the course

Designed for graduates with a relevant bachelor degree outside education, this course prepares you to become an accredited early childhood teacher (birth to five). Study online or on campus, full-time or part-time, with flexibility to switch modes. You’ll develop inclusive, play-based teaching approaches and practical skills for age-appropriate literacy, music and mathematics learning, with a focus on cultural and environmental influences including Indigenous perspectives.

Career outcome

Graduates are prepared to work as Early Childhood Teachers with children from birth to five years across prior-to-school and early childhood education and care services. Typical settings include early learning centres, long day care services, family day care and preschools (including those attached to schools in the Northern Territory). The Master-level qualification supports eligibility for early childhood teaching roles in Australia’s early years sector. Preparing graduates for education leadership, instructional design, and advanced teaching specialist roles.
