About the course
This degree prepares you for professional paramedic practice as a first responder in unpredictable, high-pressure situations. You’ll build clinical decision-making and communication skills through substantial workplace placements with WA healthcare providers and realistic on-campus simulation training. Teaching is led by AHPRA-registered practitioners with on-road experience, emphasising ethical and safe practice across public health, social, cultural and clinical contexts in this Bachelor-level paramedical science program.
Career outcome
Graduates are prepared to seek employment as paramedics and ambulance service clinicians, supporting emergency and urgent care in community and pre-hospital settings. The course develops capabilities in patient assessment, pre-hospital diagnostics, safe clinical practice and teamwork for frontline response roles. It also provides a foundation for later postgraduate specialisation pathways such as critical care, extended care, or disaster and emergency response within this Bachelor-level health sciences discipline.
