Master of Rural Science

About the course

UNE’s Master of Rural Science is a postgraduate research degree focused on sustainable, science-based agricultural systems and production. You undertake an independent, supervised research program linked to practical challenges in food and fibre production, supported by UNE’s agricultural science expertise. The course is available online or on campus and is designed to build advanced research capability in rural and agricultural science at master’s level. The programme deepens scientific methodology, data interpretation, and applied research skills for laboratory and field-based careers.

Entry is based on a bachelor qualification with second-class honours or equivalent, or an AQF Level 7 qualification with adequate relevant research preparation.
