About the course
This international dual degree lets you study exercise and sports science in Australia and the UK while earning two qualifications. You complete years 1, 2 and 4 at ECU and spend year 3 at the University of Portsmouth, graduating with ECU’s Bachelor of Science (International Exercise and Sports Science) and Portsmouth’s BSc (Hons) Sport, Health, and Exercise Sciences. This bachelor programme focuses on exercise science in an international setting. The programme develops clinical skills, patient care fundamentals, and health sciences knowledge for registered practice pathways.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue exercise science and sport-focused roles across elite sport, community health and corporate wellbeing settings. The course builds capability to design, implement and evaluate exercise programs to improve health, prevent or manage chronic disease and enhance performance, with options to broaden pathways through majors such as football performance, health promotion, nutrition and sport business.
