About the course
Designed for science graduates, the Bachelor of Science (Honours) lets you complete an additional year focused on an independent research project in your chosen discipline. You’ll work closely with a researcher to plan and run experiments or field studies, analyse and visualise data, and communicate findings through a thesis and presentations. This honours year can prepare you for research roles or further postgraduate research study in science. The programme develops laboratory techniques, scientific writing, and analytical methods for research and industry settings.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue entry-level research and analytical roles across government, industry and research organisations, supported by experience managing a project and producing a thesis. The program develops skills in experimental or field methods, data analysis and scientific communication, which are valued in laboratory, environmental, biomedical and technical settings.
