About the course
Cyber security skills are in demand worldwide and this course builds practical foundations in protecting systems and data. You’ll study network security and vulnerability assessment, information security policy and governance, digital forensics and ethical hacking, plus security issues in smartphones and Internet of Things devices. The Bachelor of Science (Cyber Security) is an AQF Level 7 undergraduate degree at ECU. The programme builds programming, systems thinking, and data skills for technology-driven industries and startups.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue roles supporting the protection, investigation and governance of digital systems across government and industry. Potential careers include cyber security analyst, security operations support, incident response assistant, vulnerability assessment or penetration testing support, digital forensics support, and governance/risk/compliance roles. This bachelor degree prepares entry-level pathways in cyber security and related IT roles.
