About the course

This honours engineering degree prepares you to help drive the transition to a renewable energy economy. You’ll build technical capability across renewable energy capture, conversion, storage and management, covering areas such as solar, wind, hydro/ocean, geothermal, bioenergy and power electronics. The program emphasises applied learning through projects, specialised labs and industry-focused professional practice, developing job-ready engineering skills at bachelor honours level.

Career outcome

Graduates are prepared for in-demand roles supporting decarbonisation, energy security and affordability. You can work across renewable power generation, grid integration, consulting and policy, evaluating and optimising renewable energy systems. Typical opportunities include renewable energy engineer, renewable energy systems designer, energy management consultant, energy auditor/accountant, energy policy development officer, and roles in innovation teams delivering new renewable technologies as a bachelor honours engineer.

Entry requirements

ATAR 77.00 (or equivalent). IELTS 6.0 overall with 6.0 minimum in each section.
