About the course

This Bachelor of Public Health builds foundational and applied skills to improve population health through prevention, health promotion, policy and advocacy. You’ll study health systems, epidemiology, research methods, statistical and qualitative approaches, and the social, cultural and environmental determinants of health. Study is available on campus at Kelvin Grove or online, with a structured full-time study plan. This is an undergraduate qualification in Health Sciences.

Career outcome

Graduates can pursue roles supporting health promotion, community and population health programs, public health research support, policy and advocacy, and project coordination across government, NGOs and health services. The course develops capability to interpret health information, plan and evaluate interventions, and work ethically with diverse communities, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health contexts.
