About the course
This honours year builds advanced public health knowledge and research capability for high-achieving students. You’ll develop skills in formulating research questions, designing and conducting an in-depth project, and critically evaluating evidence related to population health, prevention, and wellbeing. The program emphasises research practice, scholarly enquiry and professional contribution to a research environment, preparing graduates for research-focused roles and further study in public health.
Career outcome
Graduates are prepared for research and practice roles that support healthier communities across government, NGOs and industry. Career paths may include health promotion and wellbeing roles, public health project management, consultancy and advocacy, social policy and social marketing, indigenous health support, and public health research positions. This Bachelor of Public Health (Honours) also provides a strong foundation for postgraduate study in public health and related health sciences.
