About the course
This honours year builds on prior public health study to develop advanced research capability in health promotion and population health. You will work closely with a supervisor on an original research project, strengthening your understanding of research ethics, approaches and evidence-based practice. The course also develops professional skills such as communication and data management to support employability in the public health sector as a Bachelor Degree / Honours Degree in Health Sciences.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue roles across government, non-government and private organisations focused on improving community and population health. Typical pathways include health promotion and education, policy development and planning, and research or evaluation support for health programs. The honours research experience also provides a strong foundation for entry into higher research study, aligning with Bachelor Degree / Honours Degree outcomes in Health Sciences.
