About the course
This degree introduces psychology as the scientific study of behaviour, cognition and emotion, and how evidence is used to understand people across individual, social and cultural contexts. You will build knowledge of core psychological theories and develop critical thinking skills to interpret research evidence. Training in research methods and statistics is taught in a structured, supportive way by active researchers, providing a strong base for further psychology study.
Career outcome
Graduates gain analytical, research-informed and communication skills that can be applied across many people-focused workplaces. The course supports pathways into roles in community and youth services, health and wellbeing organisations, education support, disability and aged-care services, government and business settings where behavioural insight is valued. It also provides a foundation for further accredited study toward professional psychology pathways at bachelor level in psychology.
