About the course
This combined degree examines human behaviour alongside social structures to help you understand and respond to complex social challenges. You will study psychological science topics such as mental health, brain and behaviour, memory and decision-making, while also developing social science research skills to analyse communities, policy and social relationships. Graduates gain broad analytical and research capability through a Bachelor-level double qualification in psychology and social science.
Career outcome
Career options are broad across government, non-government and private sectors where understanding people and societies is valued. Graduates may work in social research, policy and program management, community and health settings, or support and advocacy roles. Typical roles include case worker, community development worker, counsellor, health promotion officer, juvenile justice officer, mediator and social scientist. This is a Bachelor-level pathway; psychologist registration requires further accredited postgraduate study.
