About the course
This Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) offers high-achieving students an embedded honours pathway within the physiotherapy degree, without extending the overall study time. You apply in Year 3 and begin advanced research training in the latter part of that year, then complete clinical placements and an honours thesis in Year 4. The thesis focuses on real physiotherapy problems under expert academic supervision. The programme develops clinical skills, patient care fundamentals, and health sciences knowledge for registered practice pathways.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue diverse physiotherapy careers across clinical and non-clinical settings, supported by strong evidence-based training and research experience. Opportunities may include practising as a physiotherapist, working in private practice (including practice ownership), contributing to research and teaching, or providing consultancy services to health and industry organisations. This Honours degree also supports early pathways into research leadership in physiotherapy. Preparing graduates for nursing, allied health, and community care professional registration and graduate roles.
