About the course
ACU’s Bachelor of Paramedicine prepares you to deliver compassionate primary, urgent and emergency care in challenging and dynamic settings. You’ll build clinical knowledge, decision-making and professional capabilities through authentic learning and diverse clinical experiences. The course supports work readiness for national and international practice, with an option to pursue an Honours pathway for high-performing graduates in paramedicine at bachelor level. The programme develops clinical skills, patient care fundamentals, and health sciences knowledge for registered practice pathways.
Career outcome
Graduates can seek employment as paramedics with emergency ambulance services across Australia and, in some cases, with international ambulance or health organisations. With further study and experience, career pathways may include intensive-care paramedic roles, team leadership, clinical instruction, ambulance service management, specialist education, flight paramedicine, and special operations or rescue paramedicine roles within emergency response services for bachelor-qualified paramedicine professionals.
