About the course

Murdoch’s Bachelor of Nursing prepares you to become a compassionate, evidence-based registered nurse using a strengths-based approach to care. You’ll build clinical skills, professional values and confidence through supported learning, simulation facilities and integrated theory with practice. The course emphasises working collaboratively with patients, families and communities to improve health and wellbeing as a Bachelor-level nursing qualification. The programme develops clinical skills, patient care fundamentals, and health sciences knowledge for registered practice pathways.

Career outcome

Graduates can pursue nursing careers across hospitals and acute care settings, including areas such as emergency, critical care, perioperative (theatre), oncology and paediatrics. You may also work in community and public health roles, rural and remote services, or occupational health. Specialist pathways include aged care/gerontology, mental health and palliative care, supporting patients in varied clinical and community environments as a Bachelor-qualified nurse. Preparing graduates for nursing, allied health, and community care professional registration and graduate roles.
