About the course
JCU’s Bachelor of Laws explores justice, ethical legal practice and the foundations of Australian law. You’ll develop skills in legal reasoning, contract analysis, advocacy and dispute resolution, with opportunities to practise in simulated settings such as a moot court with e-court facilities at Cairns. The degree is designed as a streamlined full-time program and can be studied on-campus or online as an undergraduate law qualification. The programme builds legal reasoning, case analysis, and professional ethics for legal practice and public service pathways.

Graduates can pursue pathways toward legal practice and a wide range of law-related careers. Potential roles include law clerk or graduate positions in private firms, government and regulatory agencies, courts, community legal centres, and corporate or in-house legal teams.
