About the course
This degree prepares you for work in humanitarian assistance and international development, with a strong focus on disaster management, humanitarian response and development aid. You’ll learn through applied, simulation-based and problem-focused activities, and engage with guest speakers from UN agencies and international NGOs. A key feature is an overseas semester placement supported by global partners to build real-world experience in life-saving programs and policy implementation.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue careers across humanitarian and development organisations, government and NGOs, supporting communities before, during and after crises. Possible pathways include humanitarian relief and disaster response, aid and development programming, project management, policy development and community risk assessment and preparedness. Roles may also involve logistics and supply chain coordination, monitoring and evaluation, and program design and delivery in domestic or international contexts.
