About the course
UniSQ’s Bachelor of Early Childhood prepares you to support and educate children from newborn to five years across a range of early learning settings. You’ll build knowledge, skills and professional values for best practice and complete 80 days of professional experience placements. The degree offers flexible study online or on campus and can provide a pathway into the Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) for teacher registration. This is an undergraduate qualification in early childhood education.
Career outcome
Graduates can work across prior-to-school early learning environments, applying skills and experience in early education and care services. Typical roles include educator, group leader, supervisor, or director in early education and care centres and family day care programs. The course meets ACECQA requirements, supporting recognition as an Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) in prior-to-school settings (not Queensland teacher registration). This is a bachelor-level pathway into early childhood education and care careers.
