JCU’s Bachelor of Dental Surgery prepares you to assess oral health needs and plan preventive care for individuals and communities. You’ll learn to formulate diagnoses and management or referral plans, with a focus on practice in the unique and diverse tropical context. Training emphasises hands-on experience through on-site dental clinics and a clinical simulation laboratory in Cairns, building capability for professional practice in dentistry at bachelor level. The programme develops clinical skills, patient care fundamentals, and health sciences knowledge for registered practice pathways.
