About the course
UQ’s Bachelor of Nursing prepares you to become a fully qualified registered nurse through evidence-based learning and extensive hands-on training. The program uses a narrative and inquiry-based approach and is developed with healthcare professionals and partners. You’ll complete 880 hours of supervised clinical practice in leading hospitals and health services, with placements coordinated in the final year. This is a 3-year Bachelor degree in Nursing. The programme develops clinical skills, patient care fundamentals, and health sciences knowledge for registered practice pathways.

Graduates are prepared for registration as a nurse and for work across a wide range of healthcare settings. Career pathways can include hospital and community nursing roles, aged care, paediatrics, mental health, critical and emergency care, and rural or remote health services.
