About the course
The Bachelor of Nursing aims to produce dynamic graduate nurses who will be leaders in healthcare in the 21st century. The course prepares nurses with the requisite knowledge and skills to be effective and perceptive communicators, graduating from the course with the capabilities and attributes to have a positive impact on the future of the nursing profession, and the quality of people's lives. As a Bachelor of Nursing graduate, you will be recognised for your excellent and innovative practice as you identify and effect change in health care.
Career outcome
These course outcomes are aligned with the Australian Qualifications Framework level 7 and Monash Graduate Attributes. Upon successful completion of this course it is expected that students will be able to:1. demonstrate the knowledge, skills and attributes appropriate for a competent entry level professional registered nurse2. apply critical reasoning skills to explain biomedical and social sciences concepts underpinning nursing practice3. recognise the intrinsic value of people irrespective of culture, values, beliefs and socio-economic status4.
