About the course
This double degree combines professional nursing preparation with psychology studies to build skills for person-centred care across diverse health settings. You’ll complete extensive supervised clinical practice and also develop an understanding of human behaviour and mental health. In four years full-time you graduate with two qualifications, meeting requirements for nursing registration while beginning the pathway toward further psychology study. This is a Bachelor-level nursing and psychology programme.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue registered nursing roles across areas such as emergency, mental health, cancer care and palliative care, supported by substantial clinical placement experience. The psychology component builds foundational knowledge for roles where behavioural insight is valued, and provides a first step toward postgraduate training needed for registration as a psychologist. This supports careers spanning clinical health services and community wellbeing in a Bachelor-level nursing and psychology pathway.
