About the course
This Bachelor of Music majoring in Jazz Performance develops you as a contemporary jazz musician through intensive performance-based study. You’ll build skills in improvisation, jazz language and musicianship, supported by theory and technique training and opportunities to learn on campus with specialist staff. The program is designed for students aiming to refine their artistry in jazz performance at bachelor level. The programme develops design, animation, visual storytelling, and digital media production for creative industries.
Career outcome
Graduates may pursue careers as performing jazz musicians, band members or solo artists, and work across live performance, recording and creative projects. The degree can support pathways into composing/arranging, session work and community or private music teaching, as well as further specialist study. Outcomes focus on professional practice and employability in the performing arts as a bachelor-qualified jazz performer. Preparing graduates for graphic design, multimedia production, advertising, and creative studio roles.
