About the course

The Bachelor of Midwifery prepares you for practice as a midwife, combining evidence-informed theory with extensive clinical learning to support women and families through pregnancy, birth and postnatal care. The course emphasises woman-centred, culturally safe care and develops communication, research and critical-thinking skills. On completion, graduates are eligible to apply for registration with AHPRA as a midwife in Australia. The programme develops clinical skills, patient care fundamentals, and health sciences knowledge for registered practice pathways.

Career outcome

Graduates can pursue careers in midwifery across public and private healthcare settings, supporting women and newborns through antenatal, labour and birth, and postnatal care.
