About the course
This honours year in midwifery is designed for high-achieving students to build research capability in an area of midwifery practice. You study foundational research methods and, with supervision, develop a research question, conduct a literature review and proposal, and complete data collection, analysis and interpretation. You progressively communicate your work and complete an honours thesis as the final outcome of this Bachelor Degree / Honours Degree in Nursing.
Career outcome
Graduates may use this honours qualification as a pathway into doctoral study or to support roles that involve research and evidence-based practice. The course strengthens clinical understanding in a chosen area of midwifery and builds skills in research design, analysis and scholarly communication.
