About the course
The Major in Indonesian develops language proficiency alongside cultural, social and political understanding of modern Indonesia. You can choose a beginners or continuers stream and build skills in vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation while exploring Indonesia’s diverse histories, identities and contemporary dynamics. The major also highlights funded opportunities for semester exchange and short courses in Indonesia. This is an undergraduate major in language and cultural studies.
Career outcome
This major supports careers where Indonesian language and intercultural capability are valued, especially as the language is strategically important in Australia.
