About the course
This Indigenous-led major explores Critical Indigenous Studies through creative and scholarly engagement with Indigenous literatures, visual arts, performance, and cultural practice. You’ll examine Indigenous sovereignty, human rights, self-determination, Indigenous futures and Nation Building, and learn to centre Indigenous wellbeing and ways of knowing in decolonising work that challenges inequality. This is an undergraduate major in Arts & Humanities at Flinders University.
Career outcome
Graduates develop critical and ethical thinking, communication and research skills grounded in respect for First Nations knowledge systems. This major can support pathways into roles across government and non-government sectors such as policy and program work, advocacy, community and cultural organisations, education support, communications and public engagement, and related research-focused roles.
