They can also be known as instructional designers, educational designers, learning architects, ed-tech innovators, and online training and professional development providers. Learning designers are creative problem solvers with a deep understanding of human learning who collaborate with content experts, educators and media specialists, and who use new technologies to design effective courses.
Career outcome
Graduates can work as learning designers across universities, TAFE and training providers, education technology companies, government agencies, not-for-profits and private enterprise. Roles may include learning designer, instructional designer, educational designer, learning architect, online learning developer, professional development designer, or ed-tech innovation roles supporting digital and blended learning.
