About the course
Curtin’s Bachelor of Laws prepares you for legal practice by building core knowledge to provide legal advice and undertake legal work. You’ll develop skills in analysis, logic and persuasion alongside professional ethics and responsibility, with a strong commercial understanding. The course is designed as the first qualification on the pathway to becoming a lawyer in Australia, delivering an undergraduate foundation in Law. The programme builds legal reasoning, case analysis, and professional ethics for legal practice and public service pathways.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue roles across legal practice and related sectors, including solicitor positions (e.g., family, criminal or employment law), government lawyer, corporate lawyer, community legal service lawyer, human rights lawyer or barrister. The degree supports careers in courts and tribunals, government and non-profits, business and finance, and broader industries where legal expertise is valued, as a Bachelor-level qualification in Law. Preparing graduates for legal practice, paralegal, compliance, and public sector legal support roles.
