About the course
This double degree combines accredited legal training with theological study, examining how law and religion interact in contemporary society, including religious freedom and conflict. You will study core “Priestley” law subjects alongside theology and research approaches that build skills in critical analysis of Scripture and Christian Tradition. The program also emphasises practical legal skills and professional preparation in undergraduate Law and Theology. The programme builds legal reasoning, case analysis, and professional ethics for legal practice and public service pathways.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue diverse pathways across legal practice and related sectors, supported by practical skill development in advocacy, dispute resolution and commercial practice. Career options include working as a solicitor in private practice or as in-house counsel in corporations or not-for-profits, pursuing the bar as a barrister, working in courts as a judge’s associate, or moving into policy, politics or academia with a Bachelor-level Law and Theology qualification. Preparing graduates for legal practice, paralegal, compliance, and public sector legal support roles.
