About the course
This double degree combines accredited legal study with forensic science to build understanding of crime, evidence and justice. You’ll gain practical legal experience through clinical legal education and work with real clients, while developing scientific skills in areas such as DNA profiling, blood pattern analysis and crime scene investigation. Graduates finish with two qualifications and preparation for diverse legal and forensic pathways in Australia. The programme builds legal reasoning, case analysis, and professional ethics for legal practice and public service pathways.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue roles across legal practice and crime and justice sectors, including solicitor or barrister pathways (subject to post-degree requirements), forensic science or forensic biology positions, legal analysis and research, and advisory or policy roles in government. The combined skill set also supports careers in investigation and justice-related work across policing, intelligence, corporate advisory and community legal services for a law and forensic science double degree.
