About the course

Korean Studies as a Bachelor of Arts major builds understanding of Korean culture and society while developing Korean language capability. You’ll examine contemporary and historical issues and strengthen intercultural literacy and global engagement skills. The major is designed for students with no prior Korean language background and can complement other study areas. This is an undergraduate Arts & Humanities major within the Bachelor of Arts. The programme combines disciplinary knowledge, applied learning, and graduate competencies for professional career entry.

Career outcome

Graduates can pursue roles that draw on Korean language and intercultural expertise across government, business and community contexts. Career pathways may include language specialist, diplomat, foreign policy consultant or researcher, educator, and communications/marketing/media consultant. Opportunities also extend to trade and exports, tourism development, NGOs and the public service. This is an undergraduate Arts & Humanities major within the Bachelor of Arts.
