About the course
This course explores Indigenous world views through histories, knowledge systems, cultural protocols, and determinants of health and wellbeing. You’ll build theoretical and practical capability to work respectfully with communities and contribute to better environmental, social and economic outcomes. Study is delivered online with compulsory residential workshops at Lismore for some units. This is an undergraduate Bachelor degree in Indigenous studies and community contexts.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue roles supporting Indigenous-led initiatives and community engagement across government, commercial organisations and social enterprises. Pathways may include work in land and caring-for-Country management, Indigenous tourism, and community-focused health and wellbeing areas such as Aboriginal, family or environmental health. Graduates may also progress to Honours or other postgraduate study. This is a Bachelor qualification preparing for careers related to Indigenous knowledge and practice.
