The Bachelor of Health Science (Public Health Promotion) develops foundational health science knowledge with a focus on preventing illness and improving community wellbeing through health promotion. You’ll explore how social, behavioural and environmental factors influence health, and learn to plan and evaluate promotion programs for diverse populations. This bachelor degree builds practical, evidence-informed skills for work in public and community health. The programme develops clinical skills, patient care fundamentals, and health sciences knowledge for registered practice pathways.

Graduates can pursue roles supporting public health and community wellbeing initiatives across government, councils, NGOs and health services. You may work in health promotion, community development, program support and evaluation, population health projects or policy and advocacy support.
